- Hamsa- Hillel's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning, and Allies student group at UMD. Everyone and anyone is more than welcome to join Hamsa. This group is simply for everyone who wants to make the Jewish community a more comfortable place for LGTBQ students and more accepting of LGBTQ students. - Office of LGBT Equity- The Office of LGBT Equity is a professionally staffed office that is part of the University of Maryland. Location: 2218 Marie Mount Hall. Building Phone: 301-405-8720. We envision the University of Maryland as an institution where equity prevails for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, staff, faculty, and alumni. We provide a wide range of information, education, and support services regarding sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, and we work to establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for sexual and gender minorities, their families and friends, and the campus community.
- LGBT Studies Program- The LGBT Studies Program offers an undergraduate certificate and a minor. The certificate is a 21-credit interdisciplinary course of study comprised of 15 required and 6 elective credits. The minor is a 15-credit interdisciplinary course of study.
- MICA LGBT Student Involvement and Advocacy- MICA (Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy) is a department of the Division of Student Affairs. The LGBT Coordinator is our faculty advisor. "We are committed to the creation and maintenance of a campus environment where LGBT identity and issues are affirmed and supported."
- The One Project (website, Facebook) is the First-Year Experience for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Ally students at the University of Maryland, College Park. They have a bunch of really cool events coming up and y’all should check them out! Their calendar of events is here.
